Sam Ni

I am a 1.5 gen Taiwanese American that has lived in Austin for more than 20 years, and I'm currently a laboratory software analyst at Merck. I became involved in the Taiwanese expat community during college; while at the University of Texas, I founded Taiwanese International Student Association (TiSA) with friends of similar backgrounds. Post-college I became involved with TAP, helped establish the Austin Chapter, and was a board member for 3 years. In the past few years, I have been active in connecting with young professional Taiwanese expats in the central Texas region, attempting to create a community and a network of resources. I’m back as a committee member for TAP-ATX because I love the community-building aspect of TAP, and look forward to helping with future events!
